Don't worry the sleeping will get better with time! I remember those days! I didn't even think I liked Gage because I was SOOO sleep deprived! I would sleep on the Couch so we didn't wake Daddy up and Gage slept in his bouncy seat! I think he liked it because he was snuggled tight in it! DO you have one of those? If not you can try sleeping her in her car seat just so she can feel the closeness! Gage didn't sleep in his bed until he was 4 weeks old! Good Luck!
Hi Mandi! Ohhh, how I remember those days! But I remember napping lots during the day (with my first born....you know him as Nate!) and sitting up with him during the night, just amazed and smitten. We were the only ones in the peace and quiet of the night. We rocked, sang and looked at each other, just amazed. I remember feeling yuckie and thinking that if I did my "daily thing", I would feel better sooner. Boy, was I wrong! rest is the best, balanced with "doing your thing". And, delegate to Patrick. And if something doesn't get done, don't worry! This is your time to enjoy your new baby!.....By the way, I LOVE the pictures!
Congratulations! She is beautiful. Sounds like things are going wonderfully. Getting the pack-n-play sounds like a great idea. I loved being able to have my son so close at hand while he was a newborn. We still use ours for naps at Grandma's house, etc. We've even flown with it so they can be a good investment. You are right about the Peri bottle they give you in the hospital, it does make things feel much better! I hope you get lots of rest, and recover quickly.
Look at that dark hair! Just like her mommy! She is gorgeous! Wish I was closer so I could photograph her; although, I don't think you need me to do it - these photos are great! Hope you and Patrick are enjoying your new parent status. She is lucky to have you guys!
